I’m Carolyn Flynn, an author and journalist based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, who writes literary fiction, nonfiction and journalism. My day job is the editor of SAGE Magazine, the Albuquerque Journal’s award-winning monthly magazine for women.

It’s a terrific job, but I love fiction, and I love books. I love writing, period, and that’s why I teach and critique manuscripts. I like helping people attain their vision for their creative work.

My literary short stories have appeared in Ellipsis, The Crescent Review and an anthology titled Wilde Frauen. I won the 1997 Renwick-Sumerwell prize for Self-Help, and that story also won first place in the SouthWest Writers contest.
